Eric Oliver has been playing the trumpet for over twenty years, starting at the age of 11. Eric grew up and attended school in Albuquerque, NM. He was fortunate to receive private instruction during his beginning years from Dennis Heeter and Kent Erickson. He attended high school at Manzano High School, where Bruce Kroken (1945-2004) taught and inspired. During high school Eric studied privately with Bob Dorer and Doug Carlsen, both now with the Minnesota Orchestra.
